The goal of this course is to introduce SOLIDWORKS designers to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. By using 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS software, designers create, store, manage and collaborate with 3D models in a seamless cloud-based platform.

Everything a designer creates using the SOLIDWORKS Connected software can easily be saved to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform for team communication and collaboration.

The focus of this course is on the fundamental skills and concepts central to collaboration and teamwork during the design process.

For our training course we had Leo Lewis, for our general setup at work we had Jamie Thain and helping to coordinate our training making sure we could attend we had Niamh Marshall. The training was excellent in helping to demonstrate the composer software, teach us what we needed overall as well as more specific things tailored towards our company needs. Well versed, patient, easy to get along with, funny and consistent. Great team of people doing a great job.

The PDM training came with a large set of printed notes, which contained demos and exercises. Our trainer read through this textbook over three days and got us to follow along with the demos. The course finished hours before the scheduled end each day, despite the trainer saying we didn't have time to do the exercises. The trainer was clearly experienced but all information was delivered alongside strong negative opinions about the software and users they have worked with before, and many long rambling anecdotes that weren't really that useful.
The trainer ended the course (early) while telling us to 'write what you want on the feedback, I don't care, I get paid either way'.
If you take up the PDM Pro Admin training, consider your course fee being entirely the purchase price of a good official textbook on the subject from SolidWorks.
