Description
Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, this role involves all aspects of mechanical engineering design and development of the Johnston Sweepers range of road sweeping machines.
You will be required to design effective solutions to specific aspects of the road sweeper and be responsible for the supervision of prototyping of new components and assemblies together with their evaluation and testing under representative conditions.
Production 3D CAD (SolidWorks) schemes and from them 2D CAD drawings to the relevant ISO standards along with producing and maintaining accurate bills of materials with the SAP system.
You will need to liaise regularly and effectively with other members of the Engineering team to ensure a cohesive overall design and be able to support other departments within the business to ensure that high quality levels are achieved in design and manufacture.
A team player, who is able to work in a multi-disciplined team and with strong Microsoft office skills.
