Here at Bucher Municipal we manufacture high quality municipal and contractor cleaning vehicles. Our state of the art engineering design facilities and manufacturing techniques ensure that our product range continues to be an industry quality leader. What the job involves:


You will join our busy Engineering team to create and maintain technical documentation, such as operator’s guides, maintenance manuals and parts catalogues. These documents are supplied with each Bucher Municipal truck mounted sweeper and are produced in various media types including USB, pdf, print and an online e-shop parts catalogue.


A large part of the job is preparing and maintaining the technical parts catalogues and deciding what is the correct breakdown of parts required for the manual according to the latest engineering changes. This is to allow aftersales support for the lifetime of the product showing all upgrades throughout the life of the product.


The documents are created on a PC using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, Solidworks Composer, SAP, CatMan and Catalogue Creator.

    Competent in Windows 10, Outlook and Microsoft Office applications, strong communication in English language (reading, writing & verbal), a good understanding of how components are assembled and how they may be broken down and a basic usage of 3D/CAD software packages such as Solidworks and Composer are all essential criteria for this role.


    We need someone who takes pride in their work, who can demonstrate a keen attention to detail and has an awareness of product structures and Bill of Materials.

    Qualification:

    - Formal qualifications in Design Technology/Product Design/CAD/CAM/Graphic Design.
    - Essential software experience: Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
    - Desirable knowledge of Solidworks, Solidworks Composer, SAP CatMan, CatalogCreator, Adobe Acrobat and Adobe PremierePro.
    - Strong communication in English language (reading, writing and verbal)
