Description
We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Programmer / 5 Axis Machinist to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be operating modern Mazak four- and five-axis milling and mill/turn machines to cut a variety of materials from steel to high grade aluminium and titanium and will be experienced in machining prototypes, low volume production and motorsport components.
Working within the Engineering department, this is a key role with full end-to-end responsibility from programming in SolidWorks and SolidCam to development of fixtures and tooling, and prove out before moving to short production runs.
We are looking for a candidate with a self-motivated, flexible approach to the work, with uncompromising attention to detail, the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and work reliably under pressure. Good written and verbal communications skills are critical as well as a positive approach to work. Rational and clear thinking, against firm, and sometimes challenging, deadlines will be required to deliver a world class product in an efficient, cost-effective way while minimising lead-times. Recognising the importance of deadlines is vital to meet the demands set by a busy department developing new products for a wide range of applications.
This is an exciting time as the company is embarking on a multi-million pound investment to uplift its machining capability, move to a modern, purpose built, facility and increase its presence among premium and niche market sectors such as Formula One and autonomous vehicles.
In return, we offer an attractive salary, benefits package, and the opportunity to form a vital part in a dynamic, growing team.
