The work of effective design is equally split between
understanding the product and having the requisite CAD skills. With 40 years experience in the joinery and
furniture trades working on everything from doors and windows to wardrobes and
geometric staircases I understand how joinery and furniture is constructed and
machined.
During much of that time I used the drawings to programme 3
and 5 axis CNC’s, so I understand the features required within a drawing to
make it useful in CNC production work.
