Role: Project Engineer

Description

Opportunity for a full time Project Engineer to join an established global manufacturing company based in Basildon in our Technical department. Monday to Friday 08.30am – 17.00pm.


Full training will be given on equipment and there is an opportunity to take on increased responsibilities as you develop within the role.


Job responsibilities will include:

  • Complete engineering projects by organising and controlling project elements.

  • Develop project objectives by reviewing proposals, plans and conferring with management, customers and suppliers.

  • Responsible for identifying project phases and elements.

  • Assist with the roll out of the new 3D parts drawings for applicators etc.

  • Determine project schedules by studying project plans and specifications, calculating time requirements and sequencing project elements.

  • Maintain project schedules by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities and resolving any issues.

  • Control project plans by reviewing designs, specifications, plan and schedule changes along with recommending actions.

  • Creating manuals and technical documentation.

  • Provide mechanical design support to Gun Production.

  • Source new components and work alongside the Technical Buyer.

Your Experience / Skills
To be successful in this role you will be/have:

  • Proven experience with Solidworks.

  • Degree or equivalent in an engineering field

  • Knowledge of milling, turning, fabrication and injection moulding.

  • Clean, Full UK driving license.

  • Excellent communication skills across all professional levels.

  • Must be computer literate, IT skills highly advantageous.

  • Excellent telephone manner and good English language knowledge.

  • Can work effectively as part of a team or unsupervised.
