Solid Solutions secures investment from LDC to accelerate growth strategy

Wednesday February 12, 2020 at 11:33am

We are pleased to announce an exciting next chapter in the continuing growth of Solid Solutions.

We have received investment from LDC to help support our plans to increase our ability in providing an ever-expanding portfolio of products and services to you, our customers. LDC, part of Lloyds Banking Group, is a leading private equity business specialising in supporting the growth of mid-market companies.

Alan Sampson, CEO of Solid Solutions

“LDC is the perfect partner to help us with the next stage of our journey. Their investment allows us to accelerate the growth plans for the business by increasing our scale, capacity and capability, enabling customers to benefit from an even wider product and service offering,” comments Alan Sampson, CEO of Solid Solutions.

“Solid Solutions is a true Midlands success story, and with its rapidly expanding customer base and standout reputation, the business continues to go from strength-to-strength. The computer-aided software sector has boomed in recent years and this growth looks set to continue. With the increasing demand, and Solid Solutions’ established customer portfolio, there is a real opportunity for us to support Alan and his team as they cement the firm’s market-leading position,” comments Rob Schofield, Director at LDC in Birmingham.

What does more investment mean?

Here at Solid Solutions, we feel that growth is the key to delivering the wide range of services our customers need, without ever compromising on the quality that we provide.

This investment will allow us to unlock more potential and to speed up the delivery of more services and solutions. Previous investment from BGF already has us well underway with the acquisition of Cadtek Systems, NT CADCAM and Solid Solutions Innovations in Ireland over the past three years.

Dassault Systemes are continually expanding their portfolio of software solutions and extending their services to new platforms. We need to be able to scale up to deliver these products to our customers as and when needed.

We have always been able to deliver these services with the highest quality and we have recently been recognised by Feefo, the independent review service, with the Platinum Trusted Service Provider Award.

What does this mean to our customers?

Our growth through this investment means we will always be on hand to support your designers and to introduce you to the latest developments in engineering and manufacturing. The changes over the past few years are just a hint of what is to come. We are confident that this next chapter will enable us to deliver more to our customers than we have ever done before.
