Favourite Materials

If applying a range of specific materials to your models is something you have to do regularly then the materials favourites bar is something you need to be using.

If applying a range of specific materials to your models is something you have to do regularly then the materials favourites bar is something you need to be using. Whether you use a library of customized materials or just one standard SOLIDWORKS material, making use of the favourites bar can save you a huge amount of time searching for and applying your materials.

To save a custom or standard material as a favourite;

  1. Go to your Feature Manager Design Tree and right click "Material <not specified>"
  2. Click "Edit Material"
  3. Find and right click on your desired material
  4. Click "Add to Favourites"
