Job Description
Starting by
maintaining existing systems, you will be gradually introduced to more complex,
customer facing projects before being able to undertake new projects from scratch. You will have the freedom to investigate and
learn new technologies such as Xamarin and .NET Core.
Typical activities
- Internal Systems
Maintenance
and development of existing database based in-house developed systems
- Maintenance
and development of existing internet / intranet web pages
- Design
and implementation of new systems and web-pages
- Almost
all of our systems are Microsoft platform based – .NET (C# / VB)
Customer Systems
- Creation
of bespoke programs to customer specifications.
- Support
of existing customer systems.
- Automation
of SOLIDWORKS – the flagship product which Solid Solutions sells.
- Data
translation – the translation of data from one format to another, via
custom written macros/programs.
- We
are starting to develop mobile apps via the Xamarin cross platform
development tool
Your Experience / Skills
You will
have a relevant degree (Computing, Maths or similar) and a strong academic
record.
An experienced programmer would quickly be able to be
productive and contribute to the team. Experience of programming projects
incorporating a 3D element, or with C# would be particularly valuable. But as a
minimum, candidates with some programming experience and the ability to
demonstrate a willingness to learn new technologies and the ability to absorb
new skills will also be considered.
You will be
fully supported by a range of training courses and mentoring. You will be
exposed to a wide range of exciting new developments and be at the cutting edge
of 3D CAD and its related technologies.
